The i-doit standard categories already offer a large range for different information. Sometimes this range is not sufficient, requiring you to create a user-defined category according to your own requirements.
To do so you can configure user-defined categories. You can find them under Administration
→
CMDB settings
→
User-defined categories
.
Here you can create new user-defined categories and edit existing ones. When you create a new category you can allocate a name, assign the category to the desired object types and decide between a single- or multi-value category.
The characteristic is defined by adding fields. The type of each field can be defined individually.
It is also possible to integrate design elements such as HTML/JavaScript code and a horizontal line.
