The update package is available on the i-doit customer portal under https://login.i-doit.com/ when a new i-doit version is published.
The update archive is named in the following the pattern: idoit-1.X-update.zip.
Prior to executing the update it is recommended to perform a backup of the current state of your database.
Download the package, extract it directly into your i-doit main directory and accept the exchange of the files.
For Linux users: You will find the script idoit-rights.sh
in the i-doit main directory. Execute it with the set
parameter in order to automatically configure the directory authorizations for the i-doit directories.

Now you can start the update process via the Quicklaunch Widget
and an authorized user on the i-doit dashboard or the i-doit administration at Systemtools → i-doit Update

If you did not download and extract the package manually beforehand, you can automatically download and extract the latest package in the second step of the update process by selecting Check for a new version

Upon completion of the update clear your browser cache in the settings of the browser to avoid display errors.
Linux users are able to automatically undo the configuration of the directory authorizations by executing the script idoit-rights.sh
with the unset
parameter from the i-doit main directory:
