How do I generate an individual/user-defined object type?

It may occur that you want to document an object which cannot be assigned to an existing object type.

In such cases, you can generate your own object type. Change via the i-doit management and follow the navigation menu via CMDB settings → object type configuration → [OBJECT TYPE GROUP] in the list of object types. In this navigation the object type group corresponds to your wanted group into which the new object type shall be integrated.

Use the New button above the list of object types to open the mask for setting the object types.
