Sorting in object lists
Sorting by column header
In object lists, clicking a column header sorts the list by that attribute. Clicking again reverses the sort order.
Note for older versions (before v35)
In i-doit versions before v35, some attributes such as CMDB status were not sortable. This behavior was fixed in version 35 — since v35, all attributes in object lists and reports are sortable by default.
If sorting does not work in your installation, check the following:
- i-doit version: At least v35 is required. For older versions, an update is recommended.
- Browser cache: Clear the browser cache after an update (Ctrl+Shift+R)
- Update reports: After an update, update reports under Administration > System Tools > Cache / Database
Configuring columns
Which columns are displayed in an object list can be individually configured:
- Click the gear icon in the object list
- Add or remove the desired attributes as columns
- Save the configuration
By default, i-doit allows a maximum of 10 attributes per object list. This limit can be adjusted in the system settings.
